Controlled burning

The controlled burning of vegetation is used to maintain, clean and regenerate certain pasture areas. This practice is effective in winter on various mountainous areas. In order to avoid taking a path close to a controlled burning, consult the forecast map of the controlled burning of on the website of Chamber of Agriculture or contact the town hall of the municipality on which you plan to hike.

Trail du Bénou

See you on Wednesday, May 1, 2024 for the 9th edition of the Bénou trail, the first of 5 races of the Challenge d'Ossau. Two routes are offered: a 15km Trail with 750m of D+ or an 8km Trail with 300m of D+. Registrations on www.pyreneeschrono.fr

The

The Passem is a running race held every two years to raise funds which are then donated to projects working to pass on and promote the lenga nosta* (our language). This year, the first runners will receive the baton in Bruges on 2nd may at 9.17pm and will carry it to the Buzy dolmen at 12.30am! A cultural nocturne that will take in Lys, Rébénacq, Sévignacq-Meyracq, Sainte Colome, Louvie-juzon, Iseste, Arudy and Bescat.
